How to charge a smartphone from a 12V Battery

Lets Build This Charger

How to charge a smartphone from a 12V Battery. Hello Friends, in this post I make a smartphone charger using LM2576-5.0 IC. The output voltage of this charger is 5VDC and the output current is 3A. The output of this charger is a maximum of 15W. Using this circuit, you can easily charge your smartphone from a 12V battery, which is mostly used in cars. The input voltage of this circuit is a minimum of 7VDC to a maximum of 40VDC, and the maximum output of this circuit is 5VDC 3A. For designing my PCB, I used EasyEda online software. Then I export the Gerber file (which you can download). And then I go to www.pcbway.com for manufacturing my PCB. PCBWay are the largest PCB manufacturer in China. They offer Standard PCB, Advanced PCB, Rigid-Flex PCB, SMD-Stencil and PCB Assembly Service. Here you get, 100x100mm 2 Layer PCB only at $5, And processing time within 24 hours. And they distribute, worldwide. The more you order, the less price you have to pay.

You just need to upload the Gerber File, and select the quantity, color, silkscreen, thickness etc. Then select your country, and shipping method and then Pay. PCBWay (www.pcbway.com) will deliver your PCB within 7-10 days.

After one week I received my PCB. You can see the PCB quality, it's awesome. I have ordered Black PCB. But you can choose your PCB color. PCBWay provides a total of 9 color solder mask - Green, Blue, Red, Purple, Black, White, Yellow, Matte Black, and Matte Green. On PCBWay you can get 100x100mm 2 Layer PCB only at $5. Maximum size PCB you can get 500x1100mm. And maximum Layer is up to 14 Layers. And If you order PCB the first time at PCBWay, then you get a $5 discount coupon. So upload your Gerber today and get the best quality PCB.

Testing Method After Complete This charger

Check Voltages:- Check USB socket output voltage. Here you get 5.0V. If you get same voltages, then connect your smartphone to this charger.

Power Supply:- The input voltage of this circuit is a minimum of 7VDC to a maximum of 40VDC 3A-5A, and the maximum output of this circuit is 5VDC 3A.
